How to Use Your Android Phone as a Gamepad for PC

FluxPad turns an Android phone into a customizable Xbox-style controller for Windows 10 and 11. The phone sends your inputs to the desktop app, which exposes a virtual XInput controller to compatible PC games.

What you need

You need the FluxPad app from Google Play, the FluxPad desktop app, and a Windows game that supports an Xbox or XInput controller.

For the standard Wi-Fi connection, connect the phone and PC to the same local network. Guest, public, school, and isolated Wi-Fi networks may block communication between devices.

Connect in three steps

  1. Install both apps

    Install FluxPad on Windows, then get the Android app from Google Play.

  2. Open FluxPad on the PC

    The desktop app displays the connection information and QR code used by the phone.

  3. Scan and play

    Open FluxPad on Android, scan the QR code, and verify that the game detects an Xbox-style controller.

Customize the controller

Edit mode lets you arrange the on-screen controls for the way you play. Pro Features add controller themes, macros, gyroscope control, USB mode, and support for multiple phones.

Pro Features can be unlocked for 30 minutes with an optional rewarded ad. FluxPad does not place banner ads over the controller.

Wi-Fi or USB?

  • Wi-Fi is the simplest option and is included in the free experience.
  • USB is a Pro Feature for networks that block local connections or when you prefer a wired link.
  • USB mode requires a data-capable cable, Android USB debugging, and the USB tunnel created by the desktop app.
